· Develop, establish, implement and maintain the EHS Management System

· Assist in safety permitting with local regulatory authorities

· Drive compliance with regulatory and permit requirements through direct oversight of compliance calendar and standard work to ensure proper management and accurate reporting

· Liaise with the relevant authorities pertaining to safety and health matter (e.g. Ministry of Manpower, etc.).

· Develop and maintain EHS Legal register to ensure the site is in compliance with all the safety and health legislative requirements.

· Review new/ existing EHS related legislation.

· Evaluate the impact to the organization. Identify gaps and recommend changes/requirement to ensure compliance.

· Update the Management on any EHS legislations and mandatory requirements published by the regulatory bodies.

· Advise and drive line management on compliance with all EHS related legislations & best practices.

· Evaluate new hazardous materials to ensure compliance in EHS requirements.

· Organize and act as Secretary to the monthly EHS Committee meeting.

· Prepare minutes, provide EHS assistance and advice, and update status/follow up on closure of action items.

· Conduct regular EHS inspection to identify hazards and safety gaps at the workplace.

· Discuss finding of the hazards that may result in potential personnel injury and property damage within the premises and advise on the remedial actions.

· Implement and manage the Risk Assessment program.

· Ensure that the appropriate risk assessment is performed and reviewed for any new operations.

· Assist in safety incident investigation and reporting.

· Provide advice on the remedial measures to be taken to prevent the recurrence. Assist in submission of the report to the Ministry of Manpower where required.

· Identify, develop and conduct safety training as per local regulations and corporate requirements and training matrix.

· Organize EHS promotional and educational programs/activities to improve safety awareness and create a safety culture, such as organizing safety campaigns, safety talks, in-house training, etc.

· Develop and administer contractor program/plan implementation that includes the contractor’s risk assessment review, induction briefing, and safety inspection.

· Establish and implement a permit-to-work system.

· Implement the Emergency Response Plan.

· Coordinate EHS emergency preparedness including training and coordinate/conduct drills/exercises as required.

· Maintain all EHS related records.

· Develop, compile and analyze safety indicators and follow up on programs

· initiatives to improve the overall safety performance.

· Any other duties as assigned by the EHS Manager.


·         Degree / Diploma in Science / Engineering specialized in Environment, Health, and Safety

·         MOM WSH Officer & Fire Safety Manager and other relevant training

·         Minimum 5 years of EHS management system related experience
