Job Description:The main aim of the Business Support Manager role is to work with the Business Development division in achieving business excellence. This position is best suited for candidates who want to gain valuable experience in a managerial role with advancement potential. You’d work with the Management to identify and apply important strategies and business processes. You’ll get to know the nuts and bolts of our company’s functions and operations and you’ll support our management team with daily tasks such as allocating budget and crafting performance reports. To succeed in this role, strong analytical skills and effective communication are important qualifications you should have.

Reporting to: Business Development Director and/or person(s) designated by the Management

Career Growth: Senior Business Support Manager or equivalent to be offered after 2 years of service, subject to target acheivement, employee performance and management evaluation.


1. Market-related tasks (60%)

1.1 Special projects (Local and International)

·         Collection of data from various sources within and outside of the organization, analysing and preparation of findings

·         Assist in gathering market intelligence on competition and potential alliances/clients

·         Act as laison point between consultants and stakeholders


1.2 Presentations and reports generation

·         Preparation of presentations for internal and external meetings

·         Ensure company information is up to date and update as and when necessary

·         Preparation of documents for pre-qualification for construction

·         Preparation and application of government grants


1.3 Target and achievement tracking

·         Tracking target achievement status of the various business units

·         Report generation and analysis of the projects' cashflows (to be presented to management)

·         Assist in the implementation of company strategy across the business units


1.4 Strategic planning and implementation

·         Assess the company’s operational processes and devise remedial actions for any identified issues

·         Formulate policies and plans to implement recommendations

·         Ensure adherence of the organization’s daily activities and long-term plans to established policies


1.5 Meetings and stakeholder management

·         Arranging and managing the meetings in terms of participants involved, meeting rooms/ external venue, minutes taking and action points follow-up


2.  Office-related tasks (40%)

2.1 Operations management

·         Implementation of processes within the company (e.g. ISO, Business Excellence)

·         Assess the company’s operational processes, suggest and implement ways to streamline processes

·         Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy

·         Maintaining and updating office systems, including data management on Google Drive and e-filing


2.2  Internal and External communication

·         Tracking changes of the Organization charts, Resumes and Job Descriptions for the direct reports of the supervisor

·         Assist in the preparation and maintenance of marketing collateral (e.g. brochures, presentations, company website)

·         Preparation of internal communication materials (e.g. Prime Pointers, Guidebooks, Annual Letters, Company Emails)


3. Ad-hoc tasks

·         All other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.


·         Degree in any relevant discipline (Business or Management preferred)

·         Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written). English proficiency is a must.

·         Proven proficiency in Microsoft office applications (Powerpoint, Word and Excel) and Google Apps for Work

·         Proficient in Communication tools (e.g. Skype, Whatsapp)

·         Meticulous and keen eye for detail


·         Ability to manage different stakeholders and different tasks at the same time

·         Independent, self-motivated and loyal

·         Shows high degree of self-initiative, pro-activeness and flexibility and can work independently

·         Well organized and able to prioritize various topics on his / her own

·         Ability and willingness to look beyond one's own area of activity, identify and incorporate inter-relationships and develop alternative solutions

·         Able to treat information with the highest degree of confidentiality

·         Display professional working style

·         Friendly and service oriented to employees, customers, suppliers and visitors

·         Ability to work under high pressure
